That being the case why has a lot of Ford Truck owners convert to the Explorer/GT40 intakes? I understand the MAF sensor is better than Speed density.FWIW.. The Explorer/GT40 intakes are nice.. very nice in the case of the tubular GT40 upper... but from a performance standpoint they're a bit of a sideways step from the 5.0 truck intake and the truck intake has a couple key advantages.
a) the truck dual throttlebodies are equavelent to a 75mm single... something that won't fit on an Explorer upper without grinding.
B) the truck lower section is a much better design with gentle bends that flow better than what is found on all of the car intakes, again something that can't be achieved without grinding and welding on any of the GT40/Explorer lowers.

Also, keep an eye out for a ford for meLooking to make a trip down to your area this summer to pick me up something.. Looking for a project. Either a 70's or 94-96 F150 4x4, F250 4x4, F350 4x4, Bronco. It dont have to run, just want something with no rust! I have big plans i just need a truck lol
