U sure yours aint a roller? Check the casting numbers.

casting numbers?

and im pretty sure the only roller 5.0's are the H.O ones.. the 351 is the one that changed to a roller motor

All 5.0L trucks 92 and up were roller motors. Every 302 block made after 1985 was roller ready but not all trucks got them. 94's were rollers on both the 351 and 302, they both shared the same camshaft, hence the 351 firing order.

Pretty sure that my 302 is flat tappet.. thats really what differentiates the 302 and 302 H.O.. mustangs are Roller motors...

You either need to take your intake off or find casting numbers. Ive seen a couple 302's that year with roller, NON HO's

If i remember right you can see the numbers looking up from under the truck where the oil pan meets the block on either the passengers or drivers side towards the front. Block is even casted heavier on that side to fit numbers. Cant miss it. And someone correct me if im wrong but it should read F4VE if its a roller. Reguardless what the other 3 letters are or what order it should have a 4 there.

the only things differentiating a 94 truck 5.0L and a mustang HO are:

camshaft (HO is more agressive but both are hydraulic roller and same firing order)
intake
exhaust manifolds
pistons (pretty sure the truck pistons do not have reliefs where as HO do)

other than that, the motors are the same. Nextras, have you opened up your motor or replaced it recently where you saw no roller lifters?

It should be F4TE i believe, and that is really for 351's, if you have a 351 roller, it will have an F4TE casting #. All 302 blocks after 1985 were made to accept roller cams so the casting number should be anything after E6.

I shoulda took a pic with the intake off my motor to show what it looks like if you have a roller cam.
