4wd dog dishes

Just picked up a set of 15 and 16.5" 4wd dog dish hub caps. Don't know what I'm going to do with them...but I do know I you don't see them very often, so I guess I had to have them. Guy says he pulled them off his truck back in the 80's and they were sitting in his barn ever since. Spray them off with the hose and they'll look brand new.

I've only seen the 4wd hub caps in pics on Mark's supercab.

Those are my favorite hubcap style...i dont know why.

I'm not a big hub cap guy...I just know I've never seen them before, so I had to have them. I'll probably just use them for wall art until that guy who wants a 100% correct restore comes calling and needs them.

I cheated on mine. They are from a pre 77 when they were made out of S/S.
And they didn't offer them with the hole for the hub to go through. I had to cut that myself. I also went with an argent paint instead of the factory wimbledon white on the wheels.

I was watching American Pickers one night and hanging on the wall in a garage was a pair of perfect condition satin finish s/s hub caps. (I've never seen the satin ones in person but they do exist)
I was yelling at the TV, "get the hubcaps ! get the hubcaps".
They didn't even see them.

I TIVO that show and watch them whenever I get a lazy weekend few hours or an early morning sometime.

I'd have love to have seen those.....and you yelling at the tv. They drive a Mercedes ......the least they could do is drive a domestic vehicle.

Anybody know what the market will bear on a set of the 4wd hub caps??? All I can seem to drag up are Mustang/Galaxie/Fairlane hub caps. I know there isn't much demand for them, so I wouldn't expect much. I did find a few sets for 2wd trucks...have the same pattern, in the $100 range on ebay...dunno if that's what they're selling for though.
