4-8-13 small update

heres a quick update on the truck.. it's got nearly 2k miles on the new engine.. and it's now around 7k on the new trans. both are doing amazing.

the Speed Density setup is slightly better than it was originally after the engine was installed.. so it does learn.. if i had 1.6 roller rockers the truck may be ok on speed density. but im keeping the 1.72's.

the rear end is gonna need a rebuild before to long.. it has a small whine at times. fluid is full and good.. checked that at work a few days ago. already knew the limited slip clutches were toast..

removed the decals off the rear window for the performance parts.. tired of haters arguing with me about what i have and what i dont have.. the decals are still on the truck and you'll see below where.. it's a neat not thought of spot. really neat for car shows.

pictures..

Honestly...that's exactly the way I like them. I love sleepers. I don't want to be able to tell one iota that your face will be peeled off, until you smash the throttle.

Heck Chris, I think the stock looking build should be the goal. One of my goals on my engine rebuild was to retain as much 'Ford' as I could. Don't sweat the criticism from the guys that pull up with K&N Air filters.

How much did the egr deleat help/ cost? Thinkin bout doin mine one of these days....

Zero dollars and cents.. Lol.. When we put the engine in we has some scrap metal laying around we cut to do it.. I haven't done the plug in to make the ecu act like it ain't there. Deleted all the solenoids and EGR smog pump all that junk..
Help? Idk..

I know this much. This thing is rich at idle and passed emissions with flying colors with all that junk gone.

All we do in tn on 95 and older is a sniffer up the tail pipe

I belive egr is another way of spellin devil......my part of mo dont do emissions testin...plus itll be licenced as a "local" vehicle( read farm use)....gunna just Y the exhaust behind whats left of the cat and dump it out infront of the rear tires for now....after i get a new fuel tank....

Got to agree with the guys Chris and say that keeping it in a sleeper style like you are is the way to go ...... it's always cool to laugh your co*k off at some pimple faced git in his turbo whizzbang ricer who just got blown off by what he assumed was "grandad's pickup"

It's just a short little Bronco so it's kinda cammed together
but managed to fit a 45" Walker/Thrush in there anyway... ;)

Want homemade hanger pictures? ;)

The Bronco's exhaust comes out behind the left rear tire.
The old '75 F150 it exits right in front of the left rear tire.
Wanted it on my side so -I- can hear it, I did it that way for
me and my use, not to "sound cool". xD

----------------------

The Walker Thrush brand ain't like any "Cherry Bomb" I ever
looked inside of. The Thrushes are the same size all the way
through. You buy 2+1/2" and it's a 2+1/2 pipe inside it with
perorations. Cherry Bombs have intrusive louvers.

Similar but backwards.i do like tho, looks good...my part of missouri, if it had a cat from the factory( on a gasser) its gotta have one to pass inspection...just has to be there, dont have to work...gunna put a y pipe off the back then angle back to the front of both tires....

truck looks great Chris (as always, nice and clean!) I agree with the other guys, liking the new placement of the decals, did you see that done somewhere else, it's a great spot. Back window looks much cleaner,

no.. i just thought of it.. i guess thats like a deflector plate or something was left off when we did the engine swap and had just been sitting in the bed of the truck and i finally got around to painting it and putting it on and while putting it on i came up with the idea...
