the block is no good to use... it needs an overbore cause the rust.. so i aint gonna use this block...

No, how bad is the rust? You may be able to do a raunchy hone-job and get away with it.....as for the 4.57......measure futher into the cylinder wall....forget the top of the cylinder....

Why not just bore it out? It's like $30 a cylinder here...not that bad IMO.

Cause its already .060 over ben.

'smiliedoh'...My bad, wasn't even thinking. What's the wall tolerance on a weezy? Could he push .080? If not, I agree with the rest...hone the piss out of it.

uhm, no, .060 over is bout the limit before you start getting really close to getting into the coolant jackets....

Gotcha...I know some engines they say the blocks are good to 80 out...and I've heard of a rare few good to .120 out...but I know most stick to .060. My ignorance for SB's is showing again.

i know of SBC's going .100 over,

now as far as fords go, im worried bout going .060 over cause possible over heating issues.

351W= Paper Weight.

Time for a 460.

That sucks man. Next time, I'd try to stay away from something that's been sittin for too long, especially outside.

Or pop a head off and and check the stamping on the piston. Out of curiousity, did you not notice a .060 on the face of the pistons as you were pulling them out?

Always have the seller do the head pulling too...that way if any intake bolts get broke and you decide not to buy the engine you can't get *****ed at and have a whole ordeal. Kinda like if you get stuck...you hook up your end and the other guy hooks up their end....460? Right...all that is good for is a paperweight...I vote 427SOHC
