30th anniversary

Just want you all know that today My Truck and I are celebrating our 30th anniversary together.
She had 0.6 km on her when we met.

On previous years I would take my truck to the small airport and treat it to some 110* Octane. But today this truck, my 78, is sitting in the driveway getting some much needed attention to little details to help make it feel whole again.

She requested no pics this year,no fancy meal,no champagne..... just throw some TLC its way and that will be good.

isnt it funny a old truck will stick around for years and years with just a little love and mantainece. a women on the other hand needs mantenece every week costing many dollors and when its all gone so is she. i shure hope my old trucks will be with me for 30 years!!!!!

Congrats on 30 years. I hope to have mine for that long. I wonder what the start date should be?? When I got it, or when it's Restored. I have never driven it. Never ran when I got it and I started tearing it down as soon as it was in my possession.

my truck is nearly that old but it's only been mine for 6 years. the longest relationship i've ever had. if she makes 30 years with me she'll be nearly 60 years old and i really hope she looks as good as yours when that day comes. it's a near sure thing no one else will be able to deal with a woman who actually does for her damn self that long. *shaking my head*

The Truck has about 560,000 km on it by my best estimate.

The 429 engine that's in it has more than that.

I'm a little late getting in here, but I'd like to congratulate you anyway for sticking with her for 30 years, it truly awesome to have bought a truck new and still have it running 30 years later.

It that '78 still your primary vehicle?
