I have always bought Ford to support a North American company including the men and women who work there. My father worked at Ford for 30 years and we always bought and owned Ford vehicles.
My last truck was a 2018 F-150 and I traded that in because it was having transmission issues. I bought a brand new 2020 Ford F-150 to avoid safety issues when my family is in the vehicle and to have a reliable work vehicle. Now only 10,000 miles after my warranty is up, this transmission is now done. My truck is not even four years old or paid off. This is now become a safety issue for my young family and pregnant wife.
I took the truck in for service regularly and would request the mechanic check the transmission to make sure there wasn’t any issues. The mechanic always knew exactly what I was talking about because they were hearing it from several other people having issues with their F-150 10 speed transmissions. Several mechanics have told me they heard there were going to be recalls/ on my transmission and Ford is going to fix the problems. Now I am here with my warranty up and an F-150 with a transmission on its last legs.
An American made vehicle supported by the American people not properly being warranted. I guess my journey of buying foreign begins.
