cause it wasnt very popular cause the body style. the 97-03 body style when introduced, and some of us even do this day dont like it.. just dont look like a truck IMO...

Personally, I think it was terrible decision for Ford to go to two separate body styles. Sales don't seem to reflect that, but who knows what would have happened, had they maintained one body.

i think it was a pretty good idea.

some joe shmoe can look at the F150 and a superduty of the same year and if asked. "which is more of a work truck" will instantly recognize the superduty.

its more or less recognition.

If somebody is such a truck newbie that you can't tell the difference between Thunder and your truck, they shouldn't be looking for a truck. But I didn't necessarily mean it was a bad idea to go with dual body styles for asthetic reasons (cuz I like the way the 150 has looked since the changeover), I meant more for financial reasons. I'd have to imagine it's waaaaaaay cheaper to only produce one body. I mean hell, they were the best selling trucks even when they did have one body too. But who knows, maybe the public was sick of one body and what they would have saved in manufacturing they would have lost in sales.

yea, i totally agree. U cant have one body style forever. and yea, some ppl out there will hate it and talk bad about how it looks or how it performs. But it makes the ppl who never owned a ford, to start lookin and maybe even buy it.
