1996 F250 5.8 Fuel Tank delete

Hi all, I'm a newb to this forum but have a serious question for any who have done this or have input as to how to do it. My rear tank is rust laden and unusable. I removed it and ASSUMED that the truck would be fine just leaving everything as is after removal. Turns out I was totally wrong. My truck won't start now and it is (obviously) spewing gas out of one of the lines that went to the rear tank. I don't want nor do I need the rear tank, but I need my truck to run. Can anyone please explain to me what I need to do to rectify this? Your time would be greatly appreciated.

It should still run. You will have to plug the old lines, or run ones just to the front tank. I know the most common thing is to use the bronk rear tank as its bigger then the orig, but I dont know what lines they use.

I plugged both lines and all I get is the truck turning over. Am I completely missing something here? I am at a loss to tell you the truth. I thought I knew my mechanical and electronic limits and this was SUPPOSED to be within that realm.

These are such that you either have to plug the lines as suggested, or cut the lines and use a compression fitting or flare fitting to totally disable the ability to go to the rear tank. The wiring is direct from the tank switch to the pump, so you must have the switch set right. You may need to verify that you have good pressure from the front pump. It did run fine on the front tank before the rear tank was taken off?
