lookinto do a v8 swap useing the ol school carb but im not shure what to do about the computer or would it be ezer to just use two wireing blue prints and mis mach for efi?
If you go with a carb you can do away with all the electronics either with a points distributor or put in a electronic points conversion in the distributor.
it purely depends on what you want the truck for.. if your gonna keep the 302 relatively stock.. then i'd find a 5.0 and trans, and rear end out of an explorer... along with all the mounts and everything. computer, wiring harness and all, will be a easy swap almost... uses alot of similar parts for the dash, and all the mounting stuff...
and like i said a few lines up, make sure you get a 8.8" rear end to swap for that 7.5"... if you dont, you'll break it soon enough...
