1973 F250 360 Oil Pan

The oil pan that is on my 360 engine, has the tube for the dip stick coming up from the side of the oil pan. Where as on some parts diagrams I've seen, it seems to be intergrated with the engine block. The truck was assembled in September, 1972.

Is mine an earlier version?

Pretty sure that is whether or not you have a front or rear sump....rear sump is for 4x4's to clear the crossmember.

It's a 4x4 so that probably explains it.
