1972 F100 sport custom

Hey guys,
I'm new to the site. I own a 72 f100, sport custom, short bed, 302, c4, 9" ford.

I have a column shifter and just broke the shifter tube for a second time inside the column. Was thinking about converting to a floor shifter. Has anybody done this or does anybody know if a thread has already been started about this?

It isn't really hard to do, the hardest part is getting the hole in the floor located right. The next trick is not doing a hack job of cutting the floor out.
