Where is the access point for removing/inserting rear cab mount bolts on a 1970 F-100. I can see from the underside where they are, but cannot locate
from the top side where to insert the bolts...

Should have some rubber covers over the top of the bolts where mentioned.

And I thought this was going to be a relatively easy task... Thanks folks, but didn't want to hear that I hard to remove the seat and tank : )

Wouldn't necessarily have to, but it makes it a lot easier.

with the seat out you might be able to slip an extension and ratchet in.

Sure do hope so... Thanks for the information... Now, all I need is to find a welder to come over to the house and weld on new front cab mounts...

Once I empty the current tank I think I will take a look at removing the bench seat, floor mats and sound insulation to take a good look at the cab floor. Will do any major/minor repairs needed and probably put a good layer of that roll on bed liner protector on the interior. Anyone have any good suggestions for a particular brand?

I've heard some good things about Duraliner, seems pretty reasonable price wise, too.

I will look into that. Thanks Mustang.

Boy, with the new cab mounts, bushings, clutch fix and the tools I have bought to to body repair and grind rust off the frame and underside, my wife is gonna start saying I should have bought a newer truck.. But, the way I see it. This is a hobby for me. If it takes me 10 years to have it looking and driving at 100% so be it. I enjoy getting out there and working on it. Plus I'm hoping my 2 and 3 year old boys see me enjoying it and decide they want to help some.

theres a member on here (ranger429) that sales Al's Liner http://alsliner.com/ and ive hear its really good.. kinda more of a rubbery compound than most..

More rubbery? Sounds like it would be good to use under the wheel wells as undercoating. I'll check that out as well, was gonna use duraliner on my current project. Maybe not now, thanx for the info.

found that AutoZone has herculiner. Have heard good and bad things about that. The full kit is like $90 and includes rollers. Als Liners has a spray attachment included... Would rather spray than roll, even though the floor will be covered up by the insulation and floor matting.
