I am trying to install a 12 pin connector in the bumper of my 2026 F-450 (replacing the 4 pin connector already there). The instructions say that i just need to remove the current connector, install the new one, and plug the cable behind the bumper into the new connector. The problem is have is the cable doesn't fit the connector. It has the correct number of pins, but the shape is slightly off (see pics). I have verified that I have the right connector (part # HU5T-14A624-BB).
What am I doing wrong?
