Im looking into getttibg this truck, it has 180,000 miles onit and hasnt been used as a work truck. My question is, do these trucks have tranny problens or is it somethin i should be worried about with this milage, thanks for any responce.

hey, goat, that's quite a few miles, but if you know the history and maintainance(sp?), you'll be ahead of the game, I'm guessing it's a V10 w/auto? I drove some of those in an E450, lousy fuel mileage, and OD has a tendency to go out from what I hear. But if it's a good deal, and you need the truck what the heck... best of luck.

Thanks guys, i do realize it has a lot of miles. The carfax is clean with one owner. Without lOoking at the odOmeter you wouldnt know if it only had 20k on it. Its very clean and was well taken care of. I know looks arnt everything. Just was wondering if people new how long a trans lasted on these trucks. Even though i lnow some last a lot longer then others.

180K sounds like a lot of miles, but it really isn't if it's had reasonable care.
