I can not figure out which pulley is causing the noise I am hearing on occasion. The belt is new and all the pulleys seem tight and there is no wobble. The air conditioner compressor is less that 2 years old. Does anyone have an idea to figure out which one is going bad?

Check the tensioner, make sure it is as tight as it needs to be

Check idler pulely, they usually go bad, a little at a time, then lock up

Remove the belt to check these

You can also take a stethescope, and check each component while it's running

Good replacement for stethoscope is a cut garden hose or wooden broom handle that's broke short

Thanks for the input. I give this a try and see what happens.
