Your guess is better than mine on that. :)Top one's off the F100 parts truck, the second one that looks beat
to heck is off my '75 F150, it's got a lot of dirt road miles on it! LOL :)F100 open differential = 3.25
The one I bought new has limited slip = 3L25Got a tag on your axle by...
x2 and what tires you running?A cheap way to test it is to swap tires and wheels. ...borrow 'em? ;)My Bronco's 351w is a bit of a dog with just 31.5" tires and 3.55 gears.
(265/75-16E's on 8" wheels)Swap those out for stock 15" wheels and 29" tires (235/75-15's) and it
switches to the...
Hurst and Mr.Gasket both make a floor shift kit.
Is that what you mean? :DDo -not- buy the Mr.Gasket kit! LOL :)Read over and over where guys bought Mr.Gasket's because it was
"cheaper" just to turn around and buy the Hurst too."Mr.Gasket should've stuck with making gaskets! :(" -shifter...
Yes! :/IME they don't need "bench bleeding" the book shows it tho so,
I've got an uphill battle here. LOL :)Park the sucker with the nose down and pump it, it will do the
same doggone thing while on the truck, it works. :)To bleed the brakes it's a one man job if you want it to be. :)...
To fix leaks, or just fill back, in roof gutter-rails SEM 39387
self leveling seam sealer has been recommended.Any better recommendations out there in FTF land? :)If you'd let me know we could've plopped a '75 Super Cab on there too. ;)
Prob'ly not, but if you went down I-10 past Bowie AZ...
Yeah but. ;)Over on FSB those old zinc "head knockers" are the ones we try to get
rid of for the more head-friendly ('97 and newer) plastic dome light. The one out of my '91 U150 is in the zinc bucket. And good riddance. ;)Buck, live with it for a while and then -you- decide. xDAlvin in AZ
Cool JB! :)Did you modify these TTBs or trade your old ones in for 'em or just
buy 'em outright? :)Didn't see this before, must be in the Fabrication section of FSB?And what kind of shock is that, JB? :)Me and my wife cut a couple shocks apart today, one was a Bilstein...
Mine may not either but my wife might need to take it apart in the future. xDThat's exactly why and only the reason I removed the rivets from the right
side now. For her future.Alvin in AZ
x2 ...I had a worn out -driven- gear in my '90 F250 parts truck too.It was still working but it was "bouncy" and that drove the speed control
crazy (in the Bronco I put it in). LOL :)BTW, DuPont's Multi-Use (in the blue squeeze bottle) works great on
speedometer cables and motorcycle...
Alvin the Chipmunk don't do what he's told and don't follow the rules most
of the time neither. :/^^ No washers! They introduce another place for future-slop, IME. vvAnd a new picture for the "I -caynt- pull the transmission by myself" crowd...Hey Gen.5ers and Gen.6ers...
...check...
Cool! :)You know, there ain't many of us on these website forums that's still got their
old Dents and Bumps they bought new. Lots of kids with their dad's/grandpa's
truck tho, kinda the same but not quite. How's your Bump set up?
Engine, transmission, LWB...?
Rebuilds done... and d'you do...
Where you at? :)

Cool post, thanks for that, Jolly Green Jeans. :)Ain't got a picture yet but I bolted that mount back on using flywheel bolts. xD
They're stronger than the stock rivets and stronger than the body mount too.I'd rather it be riveted but, the rivets had gotten stretched and were loose. :/...
So I'm layin' under the truck taking a breather and it hit me what a cool view it was,
so took a picture for you guys. xDI guess this goes with it... ?Alvin in AZ
Cool idea on the camera! :)Heck, I got a locking gas cap for a Dentside right here with a key in it and
absolutely no use for it at all, just don't want to throw it away. :/Had a neighbor kid stealing gas and it stopped while he was in the service
(put my non-locking caps back on) and when...
Changed my mind on the 9/16" fine thread grade-8 bolts and switched to
9/16" course thread flanged-head grade-5 bolts. The "hardware store looking" fine threaded bolts pinched/dented the soft
cast iron also the nuts pinched/dented the soft frame steel. And they looked-way-too "hardware...
^^^ Holy crappola dude, that's information we could've used from the beginning. ;) ^^^Alvin in AZ
ps- Good one... :)
"You might also put a dial indicator on the flex plate to see if it's bent." -M78
Took those three 9/16" bolts out and pulled the cast iron radius arm bracket
loose with a big screwdriver. :)Removed the remaining 5 rivets that held the left front cab mount to the frame.
2 were removed decades ago along with that U shaped crossmember that-was
riveted between the radius arm...
Cool picture. :)"1970", flip over the right-lower-half that has the spade-connectors and
check out the contacts. I drilled holes in 'em to snuggly fit the wires I
soldered to 'em.The new wires go to three Bosch relays I added to carry the high current
of a "new" Gen.8 Bronco vs the...
x2! :)...and who cares what the number is ;) just test 'em all and the
ones that don't test like most of the rest 'em, are bad. LOL :)^^works for me. ;)BWD metal wire wrapped is the type I like best.On my '75 got a copper-wire-ignition-wire from the coil to the cap.You can test the...
Danggit I can't edit my post. :/What I meant by "us" is "us 360FE guys".I'm not sure if the 352FE or 390FE do the same or not, but seems like it. ??Alvin in AZ is used to FSB where they -never- turn your edit button off.
x2 on all that, but... ;)That's the factory setting and it's a good idea to try it there first. ;)You got a temperature gauge on that truck? What a bunch of us experienced is the temperature rising while idling.
Bumping up the idle ignition timing a little would stop that business...
x2 :)"tolerance is always good :)"
-teacher from the Clueless movie my daughter watches over and over :)But. :(;) <--------------------------Proved whose ignorance, PT? ;)...an FE/FT block is not a big block, it's a medium block. That's been argued out many times with measurements...

Who cares what cats think? ;)
Sic the dog on 'em.PT, a suggestion, cover that nekid-foam up as quick as you can.
(you'll be wishin' you did later, if 'n you don't ;)Butthead in AZ don't like cats or cars
Cool! :)I special ordered a '75 F150 in late Nov of '74 when I was 21 years old. :)
Still got it, worked on it today = McLeod pressure plate fell apart on me. ;)Anyway, for some dangged reason Ford wouldn't build me a Bump Side like
I really wanted, they insisted on building me a Dent...
