A quick way to "guesstimate" your axle ratio is to jack rear tires off the ground. Put tranny in neutral. Make mark on tire near ground. Count number of times driveshaft spins for ONE tire rotation. Good luck.

I agree with my fellow fanatics. Timing and/or vacuum issue. Not necessarily a vacuum leak as you would likely notice that at an idle. But perhaps the vacuum line to your distributor is cracked, OR, perhaps the vacuum advance assembly is not working correctly. Try removing the distributor...

Gonna agree with the masses on this one. These trucks are increasingly difficult to find ! The long wheelbase, single rear tire F-350 Camper Special was Ford's answer to the Chevy dually !! Ford had it right in that dual wheels were often far more problematic than helpful. I like Alvin's...
