I was at my local Ford dealership today ordering a door part for the 750 and got yapping with the service manager....he is also a friend....he told me the staff just had a big meeting and it was regarding a small diesel engine for next years F150....that is all he told me.

I was under the impression that after to 6.0 failure and lack of warranty payment that Ford was going to have In house engines built? Also, in 83 they were known as International....not Navistar The PSD didn't come out till 94.5 anyhow

He didn't say what it was being called just that people have been hounding Ford for a 150 diesel because not everyody wants a 350...I've know this guy a few years and have no reason to think he was screwing with me.

Yes I know, but International was bought out by Navistar. From what I have read, they have never really gotten along.

Ok, I just called him back..they don't know who is making it but it is very similar to the Land Rover 3.8l diesel....it is 4.4l and it is a V8

I understand the Scorpion 6.7 willl be built in Mehico. If this gets off the ground it'll probably be built there too.

I'm excited to see them.....in spite of the urea injection thing.

I sure hope they're a hit for Ford's sake.
