Is there a check valve in the fuel pump on a 2006 Ranger 4.0L "returnless" system?
I don't see anything, Bob.Thanks! Do you know if there is a TSB on this check valve causing a cold hard start problem on the Ranger 4.0L's?

bob, you could try this on cold starts. switch the truck on for like 10 seconds and then start cranking. this will "prime" the system where it has leaked down and should help a little.
if you are only having this issue on cold starts, it may not be the pump. normally when the check valve fails, the fuel pressure will drop off almost instantly cold or hot.
Bump this thread- son is having a starting issue on his '06 Ranger (4X4 S/C 4.0 V6, 5-spd). After sitting overnight, will start- but only will run for 5 or 10 seconds before shutting off. This morning, spraying a flamable into the intake got it to run consistently. Methinks we've got a fuel pump issue. Thoughts?
Last evening, check engine light came on, reading "lean condition both cylinder banks).
