sweet engine Jurgen lookin good man........how's the truck itself comin along?

no progress on body work.. engine is going in first.. the interior is completly cleaned up.. the seats hhave to come back.. and then install.. and run a couple of wires for ignition stuff and fuel lines and done!

lol.. yup.. im missing a few small parts.. ill be ordering this week

clutch slave cyl ( cant install the engine without it)
motor mounts ( also cant install the engine without it )
powersteering pump
A/C delete bracket..

everything is on hold..
waithing for a little $ to come in and to order the last remaining parts.. so in the meantime i installed the engine about 75% of the accessories

can someone explain how the heck does those valve covers works? i dont see any breather hole or nothing.. just and oil filler hole

those came on the engine 1996 Explorer..

i got some from an early 80's stang.. havent painted them yet.. just like the ones u have

You could use the stand valve covers like mine but the gaskets won't work....

valve covers are on lots of work went into them they were rusteddd !!

thats the theme.. silver and ford blue and black


BEFORE with the EFI valve covers i cant use.

AFTER: 80's mustang valve covers for carbed engines

ok guys.. im back on track.. the parts have arrived yesterday exept one. the clutch master cyll it will arrive in this week..

today i got all of the electrical wiring and guages done next is fuel lines / pump etc etc.. when the clutch slave cyl comes its the engines turn to go in.. soo hopefully everything will be done by next weekend wish me luck!!

Good luck...those valve covers look pretty good on there too man..THOSE are the same ones on my truck!

a question.. is the inline six 4.9 starter different from a V8 starter?? i put the starter from the prev engine the inline six.. tried to turn it but it just spins freely.. or maybe it didnt line up good.. it was dark when i installed it

the starter i got is for a 4.9 m5od
i got another starter for a 5.8/C6

i need a 5.0 M5od??? is there any difference?
