The hilux is the same as the Tacoma until a couple years ago when the hilux got a redesign that the US didnt get...

ok so the engine is a 306 not a 302 woohooo

i guessed when they reman these engines they rebore them 0.30
and everything is going as planned

the engine is on the ground today becuase all engine stands are busy
he sold a racing engine block today so there is gonna be a free stand for it tomorrow

what we did today

remove oil pan, timing cover timing chain etc etc,
swapped cams
all is left to do is set the new cam in and work on the heads
