Done. Glad to have this one out of the way... super stressful.

Thanks guys!
Please allow me to correct - it's all knowledge. I can hand my part time guy the same tools and he couldn't reach a fraction of my results. Not trying to sound pompous there, just emphasizing the knowledge needed for quality results.... that's what got me this job in the first place - unskilled people with dangerous tools. :D

Not sounding pompous at all there Austin.
I have seen way to many burned paint jobs over the years from the DIY crowd and a few that kind of knew what they were doing but didn't have the patience or skill to do the job correctly.
Your work shows PRIDE in the job completed.
Just like a master woodworker and the weekend woodworker with a few tools both can build a stand etc but the quality is from experience and pride in your work. You are a master with pride in your work and it speaks for itself.

Thank you Randy. The satisfaction of a job well done is what makes it worth the effort. (Though sometimes it can effect me negatively if something doesn't quite come out right)

I know when I paint a car, make a sign, anything I do really, I can spot flaws others never see and it bothers me to no end.
I am my worst critic and that can be a good thing most of the time or you can be your worst critic where you doubt your skills. Learn from your mistakes and grow your skills so they don't happen again and learn to accept that no job will be 100% perfect every time.

Do you ever worry that there won't be enough paint on there??

On that one yes, more so than the other jobs I've done. There are meters available that read the depth of the paint, but the one I need to get the job done properly is roughly a grand.

Well...at least the semis aren't that bad

I can slap some shiney on and roll! :D

One stop shoppin' it! This admittedly good looking Avalanche belongs to an old boss of mine who has me handle his vehicles. It received:

- Headlight restoration
- Window tint (sub'd that out, made a few bucks)
- Debadging on doors, rear quarters, and tailgate
- Door mouldings removed
- 1 step polish + sealant
- Interior detail
- Trim enhancement
- Taillight tint
- Painted pinstripe removal

And shortly, ceramic coating for those 22" rimz!

During the midst of this I cleaned up his stang a bit:

What's that little hook on the front...almost looks out of place on this thing. :suspicious:

Oh....they race that thing?

Yes, it and the other two.

I would have thought it was a tie down for frequent transport.

More or less used since it sits so low - you can't reach the factory tow mount if it were to become a disabled car on the track. It'd be beneficial to have the hook if they did actually transport the car, though.
