The number on my original 1979 printed circuit is D6TF10C956The number on the cluster I'd like to use is D3TF10C956 AAI don't have a low fuel economy light but I can see a provision on the printed circuit for a bulb at bottom center of the cluster. Would that be where a low fuel economy...
Both of my clusters (pre-79 and the 79) are all gauge clusters but the connector on the back side is not a match. Also, the printed circuit is different, so a swap may be tough.
Hi all,My apologies right off the bat since this is probably an old question. I did some searching around here and found related posts but no direct answer to my question.I'd like to swap in a gauge cluster from an earlier F series into my 79. I like the black gauge surrounds, 100 MPH...
I'd be interested in a pair of NOS fender liners (inner fenders) for my 79. Can you PM me or post the contact information for the sellers? Thanks.

79 mocked upHere's a pic of my 79 with some "new" sheet metal. This poor truck was put through the ringer and left for dead. Luckily previous owners just wore it out and didn't screw it up where I couldn't bring it back with enough time and money.
Since this picture, I have pulled the front...
my humble dentWhile it won't ever be customized the extent of Maulmaul's I do plan to keep going on my 79 until it looks new. I've unbolted the original bed and will replace it with the rust free version I picked up a while back. Surprising how much difference a good grille shell and...
drug home some new treasuresI picked up a very clean short-wide box last week. while there I also grabbed a better cab and some straight front fenders! My wife is now wondering why the project truck cost so much if no parts are usable. :hammer: It's like a lot of things; if you have to ask...
Thanks for the reply. I agree. there's no way to get top quality parts without paying the price. I want top quality and am willing to pay for it. I just don't have a feel for who the best suppliers are. National Parts Depot seems to have high quality parts and claims their grille shells are...
Hey everyone,
I did some searching on this site to avoid asking a question that has probably been asked 100 times before... but didn't find much.
The grill shell and inserts on my project 79 are trashed. I see new replacements ranging from $80 to $500. Common sense tells me the $500 version...
steering wheelsNot just yet. I've bought 2 off ebay and the truck came with one stock. Not sure why i like them so much but I do. After I make a real good one from the parts of 3 I may be interested in selling one.
Thanks!Thank you all for the welcoming statements. I'm really eager to start on the Ford but I have to finish a CJ7 before I start tearing this new project down. Stay tuned, I'll post progress pictures.
ok. you asked for it. what my truck looks like today.I have lots of experience building street rods and rebuilding junk Jeeps. It's a good thing. This 79 is rough but I have a good source of used parts.
Hey All,
I just picked up a basket case 1979 F-150 4x4. It's like the living dead, that's why I called it zombie79. It has many similarities to the 1978 Free Wheelin step side I had up until 1990. I know quite a bit about the gen 6 Fords but I look forward to learning more from you all. I'm...
