Today, I gutted my NP435. Once I had all the shafts and gears out, I realized that the reason i couldn't get the remnants of the output yokes collar off of the shaft was because when I suffered the carnage it actually bent the output shaft.I was immensely proud smiliegitrdone

Tony is dead on. The motor should run at on optimal a/f ratio on the primary circuit alone. The secondaries are there for power need, and in most causes with vacuum secondaries don't even fully open. He could block off the secondary system all together, and while his power would suffer it...

All blower jokes aside; the blower motor is actually pretty easy to pull and or replace. And yes, if its intake gets plugged with crap it can cause the motor to work harder than it would otherwise.
