Thanks sorry been busy busy lately and forgot about this. After being dumb a just trying to throw parts at it I found out it is the core in fact. The hot side was 164ish and the cool side was 64ish lol so I'm pretty sure that is the problem. I was gonna try flushing it with the hose this week...
I have a 98 150 with the 5.4. Last year my heat started to get really bad. When I first ran the truck it had absolutely no heat, after driving for a few hours it would get a little better. I really didnt care to much and kind of been letting it go. Well the ol lady put down the ultimatim...
I wasn't thinking about having anything done. I actually parted ways with my 6.0 early this year becasue of the oil cooler and the egr. I loved the truck, but it was a work truck that I needed to depend on day in and day out. At the time I didn't know to much and didnt want to take a chance...
Has anybody seen this guys videos on the tube. Kind of interesting stance ont he motors. I would be intrested to here what some of his past customers say. Weather or not he is full of it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8XVw2A-nUo&feature=feedbul
Sweet pics I really like the ones with the fog. Looks so peacful. The 963 that can't be true..... If I remember it does not have a cab, I thought Brad didn't work out side of the cab:guns: :guns:
Well go the truck back today, wasn't really able to look at it too much since it was dark out. Not sure on the what is causing it. I wouldn't think it would be a head gasket, I am not losing any coolant. The guy did mention that the rubber mounts looked really smashed. He said he put some...
That is weird I have an f-250 with the same problem but it is the opposite tank. If you fill both and start running off of the front tank first then front tank then fuel will spill out the back, so we have always just run off of the back tank.
Hahah well at least this is a little easier to pull then the motor. I will get some pics when I get it back. It looks to me like it is leaking right where the plastic end meets the core on the pass. side. I dropped it off at the shop last night, to get a new one put in. The guy is very good...
I'm digging this one back up again. I was hoping I was done with this problem. Got out of the truck this morning and noticed a quater sized puddle under the front driver side corner. Shoot......... it happend again the exact same place. I get back to the shop this afternoon and pull the...
Did a search and couldn't find much, so sorry if I missed this somewhere. Unfortunately this is not on a frod but rather a freightliner truck... I have a freightliner fl-70 and the ac is weak as h*ll. It will work good early in the morining but in the heat of the day it won't keep up. I...
So whats going on with this project Brad?? Havn't see ya guys down there in a while. I have seen them working right there at wildhorse and long rd. looks as if there are extending the levee that way??
I always kind of wondered what people meant by that as well. I hear people all the time say don't by the cheap chit. I for some reason always fill up at phillips stations, not sure if it is good or not tho.
Yup it ended up being shocks, tie rod ends, and a passenger side wheel bearing. Unfortunatly I toasted the tranny 2 weeks later......... Just my luck!!
The scary part is whats gonna happen the next time it happens??Brad, I don't know how you guys are getting anything done. I am just plain sick of mucking in the mud!!
I like that pic of your truck Brad, the white one next to it looks identical to mine. Thoese pics are pretty unbelivable. If you are heading west on 40 is that right as you come down into the bottoms on the right?? How long have you guys been working down there??? Is that the big hole that...
Here are a few pics I will get some more if it ever stops raining!Checked the ball joints and tie rods last and everyting feels tight. I am going to take it and get and alingment this week and see what that brings. The passenger side tire is wore real bad on the outer side and not as bad on...
Well I finally have had a few minutes to take a look at the truck. Finally got it back to the shop this morning. After a new battery, and some fresh gas she fired right up.Just a few updates:
-Haven’t had much time to look at the front end but the front passenger tire is balled.
-Truck idles...
Well this problem has been fixed and back to normal. With all of this rain here latly got me to thinking about how terrible the brakes on this truck are. Seems to me they have always been this way. It has new calipers, new pads, new rotors and they still suck. I do alot of trailering so I am...
Went back and took everything apart tonight. The culpret was a cracked copper washer on the brake line, leaked all the fluid out and that was the reason the lights came on.
The ABS light and the e brake light came on in my 1998 f-150 last night when I was comming home. Does anyone around the st. louis area know of anyone that has the scan tool to check this, or should I get it into the dealer this week??
Ya I am about the same on mileage, I have the older 3126. We run anywhere from unloaded to 36k so I am kind of all over the board but I think she averages around 7.Ya that makes sense I completly forgot about that. I know they make a bigger cummins, an 8.3 I think. I wonder if that is an...
I did a search but wasn’t able to find anything on this subject so hopefully I didn’t miss anything. I am needing another truck just a run around truck locally. I am looking at a truck that is a good family friend. Several years ago when I worked for this friend, it was actually my company...
Subcribed. Deffinetly want to hear your results with this. I have always been a die hard phillps guy. Don't really know why just always have been and seem to drive a little further just to go to one.
I thought you use to be able to order that truck with the cat motor in it. I guess that is just the 750. Thoese new kenworth's sure are pretty trucks!!
