Hey Laurie - welcome to the site we're glad you joined. There are a few other gals that regularly post and I'm sure they will be along shortly to say hi. :welcome:
Jake - the volare works good but it isn't pretty. You'll you need to cut up the front end of your truck frame and weld in the volare unit. Before you make that decision take a look at the November 2008 Custom Classic Trucks magazine (just hit the stands). Bob's F100 Parts has developed an IFS...
We enjoyed having Jacob and both of you attend the party. You know there are two brand new houses for sale towards the front of the subdivision.......... Just kidding - really looking forward to seeing your new house once it's built. Here's to keeping our fingers crossed that all goes...
Welcome Mike - we're glad you joined. I've got a ton of Mid Fifty parts on my 56 and have been happy with the quality and the service your company given me over the years. It's my understanding that there is a picture of my truck along with a few others either on the counter or somewhere in...
No I think it's a perfect time to start talking about it. The holidays can be very busy so events need to be planned well in advance. I'm game - what ideas does everybody have?
Those doors are amazing!! My neighbor and I were talking about them after you left - he is going to talk to his buddy about putting them on his buddy's S-10. I've never seen the truck but supposedly it's chopped and has a ton of custom features on it.
I'm here but not for long. I cut firewood all day today and I'm sore as h%$#. Going to take hot shower, drink a cold beer and probably go to bed.Doc - those lambo doors are amazing. I've never seen a full size truck with them so they will be a big hit at any car show that you attend.
All - had a great time and I'm glad everybody was able to come. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. You are always welcome and let's hope Erica keeps bringing her pies.I know that motor will fit but you guys are missing the big picture. I've almost got the wife talked into letting...
No problem - maybe the next time we get together you will be able to make it. This is the first time I've had everybody out to my new place in the country. We tend to meet more frequently in closer to town so it's not such a far drive for everybody. That might work better for you. (I don't...
I like it!!! That sounds like a very cool project. Love the flat black paint with red rims and wide white walls. Have you ever watched "Trucks" on the Spike channel? They built one almost identical to what you described and it was very cool.I've got a Mustang II independent front...
BUMPGot a few folks coming. Should be a good time and the weatherman is promising wonderful weather. If you need directions send me a PM. smilieeatndrink :WooHoo:
Just about any engine you want will fit in an F100. I've seen them with hemi's, big blocks, small blocks and one at the F100 Super Nationals had a diesel out of an 18 wheeler. A small block chevy is a natural fit - gives good power and can be cheaper to build as compared to other makes. There...
It's nice to see the Show-Me F100 club doing some activities. When I was a member a few years back the club really didn't do a whole lot except the yearly show in Branson. There was also a bunch of people fighting within the club so it's nice to see all of that is behind them because there...
OK looks like quite a few folks can make it so - Let's go ahead and make this GTG happen. Everybody that wants to come send me a PM and I'll send you directions. Looking forward to seeing everybody at my place, we'll BBQ and have a great time. YelloThumbUp
How do you guys feel about a October GTG next week at my place? I'm thinking Saturday October 11 around 1:00 PM. I'll fire up the BBQ and have burgers, brauts and hotdogs.I know it's short notice so if it's a bad day for everybody we can move it out to November to give everybody a little...
Here's something else that will bring tears to your eyes. My two brother-in-laws both work at the Ford Plant in Kansas City where the F150's are built. At set intervals Ford will randomly pull a few finished trucks off the line and place them into a pool that allows the employees to drive them...
Sorry - I had every intention of helping with the move but my grandmother (she is 93) had some problems that the family had to deal with. I'm glad all went well.
If you pull it apart be sure to take good notes, maybe some digital pictures and mark everything so that you are sure how it all goes back together. You would be surprised how much you can overlook or forget over time making it difficult when you are ready to put it all back together. Make a...
Daddyjake - Welcome you've certainly come to the right place. That truck is sweet and I see a lot of potential there. I would tend to agree with Brian in that if money is tight - go ahead and get the truck safe and driveabe using what you've got. There is nothing wrong with I6 - it will get...
I think you're on to a good idea. Why don't you try to remove a couple of the spring leaves then see if you like the new ride height and how soft the ride is. Other than a some labor involved with removing the springs it isn't going to cost you anything so it's worth a try. If it's not what...
I've done the same thing on some of my past rides - it works well and improves the ride. I've also added poly strips between the leaves which allows them to slide much better as the suspension works.
guys - I would have never dreamed in a million years how much work and change from moving out the country has changed my life. There is the everyday hour drive each way to and from work. In the evening and on weekends there are a million things to do outside before dark that I'm pushing hard...
Spike - sounds very cool. I was curious why you would go to Dodge Caravan springs? Never heard of that so I'm interested in what the change will do for you (I'm always wanting to learn new things). As to the de-handling the doors and using solenoids - I decided to go a different route with...
I have been thinking about having the October GTG at my place. But if we need to hold it at Hooters to get our KC brothers to attend then I'm all for it. We've still got some time to make a final decision and what would work with Ryan's schedule.
