Has anybody used Mustang shorty headers on their 4x4 truck with 351w. I don't like how the #2 primary tube on the passenger side truck headers run on top. Foresee a lot of issues with spark plugs and wires.I'm putting in a whole new exhaust, so pipe alignment doesn't matter, as long as I can...
To add to this. The switch itself is slotted for adjustment, when you changed out the cylinder, you may have bent the rod, or just knocked it out of alignment. What I do. Drop the column like Fellro said. Disconnect neg from battery. Turn the key to "on" position, not "start". Loosen the nuts...
Is it the bolt for the clamp thats rusted tight, or are you saying the distributor itself won't rotate? As mentioned before, after you get the motor hot, spray some PB blaster or penetrating oil of your choice on the hold down bolt, and try to get under the clamp too. If it's the distributor...
Has nothing to do with technicalities, bypassing it for troubleshooting is fine. My suggestion is aimed at you to put yours back on. Would you take a pressure hose filled with gas and point it at a fire? That's what would happen. I'm just trying to make you safe. Just my opinion.
If I may suggest it. You should fix tour inertia switch as soon as possible. If you have an accident and no switch, your fuel pumps will not shut off. That could be very bad, especially if you have a fire. Just my opinion.
I don't post here much, but it seems kinda sad that you couldn't work out a deal with Austin for some parts and/or the whole truck. Good Luck on getting a high price on scrap after you are done. I just did one and grand total was $160 dollars. You couldn't even help a man out that was gonna pay...
Finally putting a pic up. This is the Green Bomber. 1990 Ford F150 4WD. Used to be Blue/White two tone, but I liked this green. She has a 5.0 and 5 spd manual. Mods so far are simple, manual locking hubs on front, homemade CAI, aluminum rims, and I put a 92 Front end on her. I am building up a...
I'm sorry to correct you, but the cowl is different by about an inch. I just did this to my 90. (Try to post pics later).Everything from the Cab back is the same sheetmetal wise, obviously badging is different. You will need the rad support, cowl, hood, fenders. bumper, and the...
Did you check each one for power? Do you have a wiring diagram? If you only checked one, it might not have power because it wasn't time yet. If none of them have power, You might have broken wires. Or your computer is no bueno. Good Luck.
I'm actually redoing mine right now. I'm putting vinyl up. I don't think it will be any noiser than the fabric, will probably last longer, and you can wipe the spit, mud, blood, snot, etc. off easy. I bought it at the auto upholstery, they also sell the factory foam backed stuff there.
