Today I ported my GT40P heads!

Should I get the Explorer intake? Do they flow better than stock ones? And will my F-150 plenum fit on it?

The explorer will flow better than than the stock one, But I wouldn't bolt your Upper to it; Paul has pics somewhere showing the difference..

That's not right, no other factory intake outflows the 5.0 truck intake, but that's part of the problem with this motor the intake is WAY too big and low rpm TQ is down as a result. The GT40/explorer intake is a much better match to the GT40 heads, but you'll need the complete intake.. upper and lower, the port layout is totally different from the truck intakes and the parts cannot be combined. Here are all three 5.0 lowers side by side, left to right you have the 5.0HO, 5.0 truck, and Explorer/GT40.

i got a lower Gt40 intake.. that is all

you can find an upper on ebay cheap

I got the whole shebang with the exception of the fuel rail....I've got everything from the throttle cable to the lower intake.
