wrong color

due to old age, failing eye sight, and a short memory , I wrote the wrong colors coming out of the durs-spark box they are red and white and I believe the red goes to the starter relay and the white goes to a switch wire that is hot when the key is on. I really hope this works out.

Just hook the red wire to the I terminal on your starter relay and it`ll run. I`ve done it this way on three vehicles that I`ve converted from points, leaving the white wire unhooked, and they all ran fine. The one time I had a problem was because for some reason I thought I should hook the red and white together to power the box. That truck was all the time killing boxes and coils both at the same time. I`d shut it off, and it wouldn`t start. Throw a new box and coil on it and it was fine. Change on or the other and the bad box/coil would kill the new box/coil as soon as you tried to start it. Once I hooked up just the red wire by itself I never had a problem.
