Wiring problems HELP

I am doing some work uner the hood near the regulator/alenator. What is the thick yellow wire for and where does it connect to? here is a you tube link to show th wire. It is attached to a grey connector in the vid but not mentioned.

What kind of vehicle do you have? My dial-up doesn't like videos. Engine size, year, model, etc.
