Wiper parts

Ever since I bought blue, the wiper mechanism has had problems on the drivers side. It has enough play that when it comes down, it thwaps the rubber on the windshield. I got onto JBG and they want $85 for it. Do I have any other options? I could try my luck with a parts truck. I was about to look on DC.

First off...what 'mechanism' exactly are you talking about? Post the link to the part you want from JBG. It's been my experience that DC is typically more expensive than JBG. Another roughte you might wanna try is...UHaul...I can't remember the website off hand but I remember they were selling off a bunch of their dentside spare parts a few months ago.

Beyond that...O'Reilly's has always had any wiper parts I needed...never needed that mechanism, but you may wanna give them a ring.

Well, I have a complete assembly I can sell you..it even includes wiper blades if you choose to.

No, i don't have a parts truck, but I got a guy that does. I saw the used one, but i wasn't sure If it would be good. I wouldn't mind buying it from you dennis, but I probably couldn't afford the whole assembly.

I'm willing to bet if JBG is selling it, even if it is used, it'll be good. Probably a ton better than some parts truck that is exposed to the elements.

Ok thanks for all the replys. I ended up getting the parts i needed (and some extras) from a friend of mine. They were used, but the parts came off a 79 that was wrecked in '83 with 1500 miles on it. So i figure the parts are good
