Wheel stud replacement

Just had a stud break off on the Bronco...never replaced one before...it's on the passenger rear. Can somebody gimme a quick how to?

IIRC ya just pop the brake brum off, hammer the old one out, then pop the new one in...



So easy a cave man could do it?????? HAHAHA. Thanks Matt

There is a procedure that calls for putting washers on the end and a nut and seating them that way!!!

WOW...thanks for the info guys. Looks like Matt was right, I just made this as a passing comment, and he said it would turn into a decent tech thread.

Also I've heard some people say that the only right way is using a press to do it (who wants to remove the whole axle just for that?), but fwiw I have never had any trouble using washers. The Matco tool just makes it a little easier but not totally necessary. It is on my list of tools to pick up though.
