whats the diffrence?

Is there a diffrence between a 240c.i. distributor and a 300c.i. distributor?

I'm sorry I take that back I was wrong they are same in size and they can be used on ether engine, but I think maybe cam gears MAY be different.

ok, i see now. but, i want to know how they are diffrent. is it something i can change if i want to turn my 240 into a 300, or will i have to buy a new distributor.
