Hi All:

What is the purpose of the electronic module E8FT2C018-AA L, located just behind the radio and attached to the dash. Module has a 14 Pin connector.

Truck is a 1988 Ford F250, EFI 5.0 L, Std 5 Spd Trans, basic equipment. Lucky it has a AM Radio. Some little bird suggested at maybe a control module for a Rabs...........what ever that is.

it is the rabs module. that is the rear anti lock brakes module

Did a bit of research about the Rabs sensor in the diffy. Info suggested that the sensor may give false DTC if there is metal partials in the gear oil from what ever source, for example the casting or general ring gear wear. The partials get stuck on the mag of the sensor causing operational problems.

As i read it, if you regularly change gear oil and clean the sensor.........you shouldn't have a problem. The diffy will love you for it.
