What brand starter to buy?

So it's not really a PERFORMANCE starter, it's more of just a rock-solid starter. That's kind of what I figured.

Well, I figure this stock non-Mean Green starter lasted for 14 years, and I probably won't have the truck for another 14 years (maybe), so there's no use buying anything that EXCEEDS the stock spec... Sound to me like that Mean Green will EXCEED the stock spec and therefore EXCEED my budget

My point is that I really don't need anything better than stock spec in this case. If rockauto.com was offering a new Motorcraft I would buy that, but it's a reman...

For the time being, I'm holding off until my brother hears from the local guy that has a good reputation for rebuilding starters; we'll see what he says. Thanks for the advice buddy.
