Went into 4WD low on its own ?

I had my B II out the other day , and I pulled to the side of the road to answer the phone and write down some information.
When I proceeded to leave the BII was in 4 WD low. It's a 1987 4 spd with electronic 4WD buttons on the ceiling.

Any one heard of this happening ?

This might sound silly but a long time ago i used to work for a company installing radio telephones - we had a contract with the nz police to do all there installation work and i remember a directive came around about radio interference with electronic gearboxes .... apparently an australian police officer was involved in a high speed pursuit using a turbo VL commodore and he keyed his mike resulting in catastrophic gearbox failure leading to locking up the rear wheels whilst travelling in excess of 140 kmh ...... apparently it ruined his day :wasntme: .
anyway it turned out that we needed to shield all the antenna cables and route them well away from existing wiring looms and ecms.

maybe you could park your truck and leave it running to see if you can make it do it again

Nope that's a first. Normally getting a push button in to 4 low is a test of patience.

Definitely a waiting game. Never did care for it either.

I'll have to go back to where it happened ( if I can remember) and see if it happens again.
