v6ford explorer motor to ford ranger with 4cy

we are in the process of exchanging a 2.5 4cyl from a 1997 ford ranger with a 4.0 v6 from a 1998 ford explorer. my question is do we need to replace the wiring harness on the chassis of the ford ranger with the one off the chassis of the explorer.

yes... cause your going from a 4cy to a 6. plus different engine wirings....

question, is the 4.0 a SOHC or a OHV?
