Transmission Issue 95 F-250 460ci

Good day everyone! In a nutshell, I had the tranny in my 95 F250 rebuilt a couple of years ago and have probably driven the truck 2k or less since then. It's currently for sale and on a test drive, a guy said that the transmission seemed to be slipping when shifting into 2nd gear. I drove it and though the shift from 1st to 2nd seems long, I don't feel that it's slipping, just shifting hard. The shifts through the rest of the gears are perfect. When i had the tranny rebuilt, I told the guy that I used the truck for towing and to please use the "beefier" clutches and such when he rebuilt it. Is the longer, harder shift due to the way the tranny is set up? Does it need adjustment? I will also mention that the truck has a 6" lift and 35" tires. It seems to me that it has always shifted this way ever since I got it back, but now I'm wondering. Tranny is full of fluid (maybe even a little over filled) and fluid looks like new. Any help would be appreciated! I'm new to this forum and would like to say thank you in advance for your advice. Have a great day!

I would take it back to the trans shop and get there opinion... only having 2k on the trans they should be willing to help you out,
I would expect a firmer shift with a towing application...
Band's might need adjusting, depending on trans.

First off, welcome :wavey:

As for the tranny-- installing components to stiffen the shifts will make the shifts harder and shorter, not longer. I've got a shift kit and my truck shifts between gears in the blink of an eye. I'm with Don on this-- take it back to the trans shop and tell 'em it doesn't feel right.
