Transmission cost help

I have a 2005 F150, with 92000 miles on it. I know most know where I'm going. It hit the deck, and the ford dealers charging me a whopping 4300 for the repair. Is this normal price for a reman. transmission, or should I look for someone else? Any help with this is greatly appreciated

I'm not sure on the price but have you gotten a quote from anyone else. blacksnapon might be able to give you a run down of what all is involved to see if the price makes more sense.

4300 is pretty reasonable. Remember, you get a warranty as well.

Only 92k and the trans is shot? I'd be getting a second opinion..

Ford reman has the best warrenty thats for sure . And if installed great price. Here same trans at a rebuild shop is 3600 not installed and have 6 month warranty if luck ..


As for 100000 and it going bad . We only have 1 truck out of 15 fleet that didnt have trans done before 120000 miles and its a used one we bought with no info on back round.
