Trans Temp Sensor

So i want to install a trans temp gauge in the flareside, i already have the gauge, and the transmission, just need to figure out where to install it.

I have an aftermarket pan, and i was thinking if i could find an adapter that would adapt me from the big $$$ drain plug to something small enough to fit that sending unit that would be awesome. Im running an AOD and the pan is a ford racing Pan. Anyone have any ideas?

Wouldn't a tee in the outflowing cooler line be more accurate?

yes and no, the outflowing line will show the hot side of the trans, but it will also read short spikes etc, the pan temp will show an overall temp. I guess is the best way to explain it. at least thats my thinking. Honestly i dont really care where i put it, just thought that pan would be easiest. Its all relative anyways, so if i put it on the cooler out and it shows 100 degrees normally, but im pulling a big $$$ hill and im seeing 150, i might want to ease off a bit. same scenario for anything i guess. Do they sell the little T's for the cooler lines? That would be the lowest mess area of install

Pretty sure you can get the tee's Tater....plumbing supply place maybe?...or I'm thinking that one of the gauge makers would have something?
