Tire Question...

I have a buddy offering a smoking deal on a set of 36x14.5x15 TSL's. I've been looking to move the Bronco to a set of Swampers, and it's time for tires anyway. Keep in mind, the Bronco is lifted 4". I've rolled on 36 and 37" x 12.5" tires on that rig before. The 37's got a bit stuffed with some flex and at full lock. I don't think the height be an issue as much as the width. Is there a particular rim set up, that will allow the 36x14.5's to work with the 4" lift? Should I just scrap the idea of scoring on these tires? What says you???

I seriously think you're going to have issues with the width, but be fine as far as tallness goes(especially if you're still planning on using the plastic inner fender pieces). I have 9.75 inch wide wheels on my F250 and my 12.5 in wide tires are as wide as I could possibly go with the plastic inner pieces still on.

my tires are soo soo close to hitting the plastic inner fender guards at full lock, due to the width of the tires.

But, would you be able to stretch them on your 8 in rims and be able to turn full lock? I really dnt know.

I dont know Ben,sounds risky to me..even with a wider rim on a 4"lift may cause interferance.unless your planing to go higher with the rig,i would stay with what you know that works,i really dont think your gain with the width would be worth the headaches of all the extra expense..thats how i feel about it. its your call tho..good luck!

^^^Well there are plans to go higher, just not quite yet. If all checks out...I should be getting the front coils soon. I might pick these tires up just to resell them. They still have the stickers on the tread and I can snag them for $800....they're about 1400 new.
