Hey guys, it's been a while . My '03 F250 4x4 and I have been doing well , Until....Saturday I heard a rubbing type of sound coming from my right front wheel while turning in to a parking lot . It was pretty loud . After some experimenting it seems like it will make the noise when the wheels are turned sharply in either direction but not when going generally strait . I checked the brakes and they still have some life left . I noticed a plastic seal at the end of the axle housing has come out . Am I looking at having to replace the wheel/axle bearings ? P.S. 187000 miles

That seal wouldn't cause a rubbing noise. Its used to keep grit and garbage out of the axle tube. I would believe the wheel bearing having play in it letting the disc contact the backing plate.
