Sway bar link problems

My son has a 2004 extra cab 2wd that we can't keep sway bar links in. They go out about every 3 to 4 months. Can find nothing wrong worth the front end. Can someone please tell me why they will not last.

Are you using OEM replacements?

No we have been using moog
With life time replacement. Just getting tired of replacing them.

Not much to those. So, you have to look elsewhere (other than the links) for the solution. Are they the right size, has it ever been wrecked, how are the bar mounting brackets and bushings, does your son drive like a maniac, any off roading?

No off roading, no he is a very mild driver [44 years old], bushings on bar are good, 160,000 miles on the truck. No leaks on either of the struts.

might look at shocks or springs, excessive suspension travel will destroy links.

Thanks blacksnapon that is what I was thinking. Just need someone to reinforce what I thought before he spends the money.
