Swaping a 90, 91 AOD tranny

Ill be honest, i dont know much about transmissons..

Other then im trying to swap up the one in my 93 f150 4x4 for one i think its from the 90s or 91.. it has a 53 stamped on it while the one from my 93 has a 57 stamped on it.. not sure what that means.. anyways my question is, are these interchangeable? really hope so.. other wise i might be screwed lol!

Im not sure.
You can measure bolt pattern an linkage setup.
Also make sure trans came from the right size block because they
are ballanced different on flywheel.
Someone else may give you better advise on that.
