subscribed threads suddenly missing

I had 3 subscribed threads there listed as having new posts in them...
Went to one of the subscribed threads, rattled on in my usual manor :/...
Then went back to the User CP and that thread was the only one listed.

The others were off the list.

Would somebody fix that for me, please?

but if it's not there either, odds are it got moved to a moderated section or deleted from public view for one reason or another

did you try to acces the threads and got an error message? What threads were they and I can look for them

The posts and threads themselves are not missing they are only "absent "
from my UserCP list.

I used the Search feature to find them no sweat.

This thread worked great but there was only this one "new one" to look at.

When I get done rattling-on here I'll choose UserCP again all of them will be
cleared including this one, I suspect.

{edit: nope the ones from today are there, maybe I have a time limit setting
screwed up or something?}

If no one else is having this problem then it's prob'ly just my settings.

the User CP list is only there until you've viewed the new posts in a thread (and for a short time after that).

after you view the thread (or view a couple and leave the forum) for more than 20 minutes or so, your User CP is cleared if there are no new posts in that thread.

(reading through that, it sounds confusing - maybe someone can explain better)

Yeah, that's what's going on!

I had 3 on the list and looked at one and posted to it, then went back to
check out the other 2 and those 2 were not listed, only the one I'd posted
to was there.

It's as if the "clearing mechanism" is too quick for my slowass way of doing
things.

i'm not sure on the exact time (i'm sure one of the admins will chime in), but i think it's around 20 or 30 minutes before that list clears.
