sticking or broken odometer?

I noticed the odometer is not working correctly... went out for about a 30 mile drive today and wrote mileage down so i could start calculating my gas mileage and it showed i went maybe 1.75 miles????..

the speedometer is working, so I am just wondering if i need to lubricate it or something?

Hopefully it is just sticking and a blowing off with a air nozzle will do the trick. I had a trip gauge that would sometimes stick and I cleaned up as best I could with air and a Q-tip. Then sprayed with WD-40 very lightly.
