Brenda wasn't the only one de-modding a Ranger today...

I yanked the factory step-bars off my '09 this afternoon. Never wanted 'em, but they were on the truck when I bought it.

Before:

After:

Thinking I'll stick 'em on Craigslist, see if I can recover some of the $110 they added to the sticker of the truck. Anybody know what year range they'd fit? Or what a reasonable price to ask for 'em would be? (Three months old...not perfect, anymore, but no scratches or dents, either, and I've got all the mounting hardware.)

Looks much better. I took mine off for quite some time but when the lift went on, they had to go back on. You could probably get between 75 -100 for em. I don't know if the year matters as much as the extended cab does. Those things are in demand on R/F.

Looks much cleaner....love it!

Stuck 'em on CL for $100/bo...see what happens, I guess.

There's no way I'll ever lift this truck enough to need them, and even if I did, my boots didn't really fit between the bar and rocker panel, so I couldn't use them even if I'd wanted too. All they did was collect dirt so when I got in or out it would get all over my pants.

Looks MUCH better. I don't really care for the step bars anyway. They usually rust out quicker than you want and it's one more little crevice for rust to start on the cab.

Looks good. I never cared for running boards on rangers. Had them on a f150 but it was lifted and put them on so my Mom could get in and out of it.

im about to pull my aftermarket westin bars off my ranger. daughter is finnally old enough to not need them. and im tired of my foot slipping off them in winter and banging my leg against them. when i first put them on they were almost up against the body, i made brackets to kick them out 2" and drop them 2" so they would be useable as step bars. they are about to rust-through, even after keeping up with them for the 5 years ive had them on. not the best $200 ive spent on the truck. (the best $200 ive spent would be the hurst shifter :) )
