FTF member brownxl asked for mirror types for 1980's trucks

I received an email from FTF member brownxl asking about different types. I suggested he ask you to post the pic.

I just sent him a return email telling him come on over and take a look-see.

He asked me if Econoline mirrors would fit an F150, I told him no. He asked about EOTZ19696E, I told him it was Type 14, not something he wanted.

He seemed confused about what Western Mirrors look like. I told him Types 2, 3, 11 & 12, prolly didn't want them.

Thanks for posting this. I had no idea there were so many flavors.

Any insights on where the term Western or West Coast mirror came from?

I've seen it pop up a few times, but usually the way of obtaining it would be through bill or dennis. Just think that a sticky could help out.
