To take your family on Vacation.

It doesn't have to be some big water park or anything, just somewhere you and your family enjoy going to.

My family and I (now that the kids are getting older) want to start camping a little more and I thought some of you folks might know of some off the map or not so busy places to enjoy nature and some R&R.

HAH! Not many of the places I get to go are of my choosing, lol. I prefer quiet, out of the way places. The WIFE likes Branson, the mall, any restaurant that doesn't ask if you want fries with that, etc... Her idea of "roughing it" is Home.

Truman, Stockton, and Table Rock lakes all have pretty nice State camp sites. Branson's a blast for under a grand (they have a new "Branson Landing" with an awesome free water/fire show, check it out!) I love Ocean's of Fun here in North KC, and Whitewater in Branson for water fun. The Bass Pro in Springfield is fun, and the Stl. Zoo's a a good time.

There are a ton of good restaurants scattered throughout the highways I'd recommend. Smith's restaurant in Boliver, Missouri is super-good... as is Lamberts Cafe where they throw rolls at ya! :)

Table Rock lake is where we usually go. It's cheap for us since my parents have a house and boat down there. Branson is real close so there is off the lake entertainment too.

Bennett Spring State Park! we went there on a nice family vacation this summer they have lots of camping sites and its pretty cheep they have lots of things to do inside the state park trout fishing, swimming or hiking. Its also very relaxing and your also close to places you can go rafting or canoeing. I had a great time this summer and am trying to plan something for over fall break!

It's not exactly in Missouri, but it's not that far OUT of there, either;
I think its fair to list this since there is no Arkansas Chapter;

It's called Lum's mountain,in St Joe Ar. and when I can, I go there.
